George & Sheree Wuertz Give now

Around July 2001 a pastor from Cuenca, Ecuador, came to the U.S. to speak at our home church. While he spoke of the needs of the region and of his local church, God spoke to us through a very real touch of the Holy Spirit, encouraging us to go Ecuador. As a result, we were appointed to missionary service with Global Partners to Ecuador in August 2003. For approximately three years we ministered in Guayaquil and Cuenca where we were involved in church planting and youth discipleship.

It is our vision to see the Church in Ecuador become the cultural change agent uniting the multiethnic peoples of this country by maturing and developing the local churches, equipping them to live out and share the gospel of authentic freedom and reconciliation, by raising up prepared leaders, and by igniting a powerful youth movement that sets on fire the Church in Ecuador, the Church in North America, and that spreads around the world in order to reach others with the transforming power of knowing Jesus Christ.

George and Sheree have three children: Daniel (’06), Nathan (’08), and Joel (’12).

“. . . I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10 NKJV).
