Amplified Leaders Initiative
Amplifying Training of International Leaders to Multiply Wesleyan Churches Globally
As the gospel takes root in an area, we are eager to turn over responsibility and authority to well-equipped national leaders.
We are continually working ourselves out of a job.
“Being part of the Master of Divinity program at Wesley Seminar has help me to improve my preaching in all ways—preparation and delivering the message. This has been noticeable to church members. One leader said to me, ‘I loved how you preach, but in the last year your preaching has improved. It is a blessing in my life because you are a teacher that sinks in the Word to give us the best from the Word.’ Thanks to all who have made it possible for me to study.”
–Pastor Jose McKella, Director of The Wesleyan Church of Panama
TRAINING PASTORS • TRAINING TRAINERS • ONGOING LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
The Wesleyan Church around the world is expanding. Churches are being planted. Lives are being made new. Believers are being led to serve and to pastor these new churches and lives.
BUT THERE IS A BIG GAP
The ladder that takes an individual from new Christ-follower to pastor is often difficult around the world. Availability, accessibility, affordability, believability— all of these items and more factor into keeping sustainable leadership from being built. It’s as if the ladder to full preparation is missing critical rungs. To get to basic core training, it sometimes takes a few years—all the while most are teaching and leading with almost no training. To get to ordination, it can take over 10-15 years—many give up even trying. In fact, 82% of our pastors, globally, are not ordained. But it can be different. It has to be changed.
TOGETHER WE CAN SEE
- 1,000 Pastors Trained to Ordination. It takes about $1,500/pastor to accomplish this goal = $1.5 million. $1500 trains a pastor.
- 200 Trained Trainers. It takes about $5,000/trainer to accomplish this goal = $1 million.
- Ongoing Leadership Development. Multiplying equipping events, experiences, coaching, and whatever it takes. We would like to raise $500,000 toward this essential goal.
