Orphanage Care – East Asia

WM06-1101 | Compassion, Medical

Each week medical teams visit orphanages throughout our region, providing well-child-style evaluations and acute care treatments to orphans in need. Most have some sort of congenital malformation or mental abnormality, and many in our more remote areas need additional nutrition. We work in cooperation in a few orphanages that have enough government support to employ their own doctor by assisting them in diagnoses and treatment plans. We serve the poorest of the poor, and in so doing reveal the heart of our Maker to impact those who encounter our team. A few orphans with congenital malformations such as cleft lip/palate, neural tube defects, and heart defects may receive surgeries in our city’s surgical community, paid for by donors.
