What is the Emergency Relief Fund? 

 

The Wesleyan Church Global Partners Emergency Relief Fund provides support to Global Wesleyan communities affected by disasters and emergencies around the world. When crises impact our global Wesleyan family, this fund allows us to respond with practical assistance, emergency relief, and compassionate care. Through trusted local leaders and ministry partners, support is directed to areas of greatest need as response plans are developed and relief efforts begin.

One of the strengths of our global church is that no one suffers alone. In moments of crisis, we come alongside one another as one family in Christ, offering hope, help, and tangible expressions of God’s love.

100% of gifts to The Wesleyan Church Corporation’s (a 501 (c)3 Organization) Global Partners Emergency Relief Fund are used for emergency response and relief efforts. Your gift will help provide practical assistance, compassionate care, and support for long-term recovery efforts.

Emergency Relief Updates:

Nepal Flooding Relief – September 2026

Thank you for your continued prayers for Nepal and those affected by the devastating flooding.
 
Our local churches in Nepal have shared the following updates as they continue responding to the crisis.
 
  • Families who lost their homes are receiving shelter, food and essential supplies through local churches.
  • Relief workers continue to face significant obstacles due to ongoing rain, landslides and travel restrictions, but teams are preparing supplies to deliver aid as soon as routes reopen.
  • One of our Wesleyan churches is providing a vehicle to transport critical supplies, including rice, medication and shelter materials, to one of the hardest-hit regions.
  • Please pray that the rain would stop, allowing rescue efforts to continue safely and aid to reach communities still waiting for help.

Venezuela Earthquake Relief — June 2026

We are asking you to join us in responding to major earthquakes impacting Wesleyan churches in Venezuela (Iglesia Evangélica Wesleyana).

Early reports indicate that most Wesleyan churches have not sustained significant structural damage and are already serving as shelters and collection points for their communities. While we continue to await updates from a church near the epicenter in Caracas, we are grateful that all pastors and church leaders who have reported in are safe. Even so, many church families are grieving the loss of loved ones, and humanitarian needs continue to grow.

Your gift will help provide practical assistance, compassionate care, and support for long-term recovery efforts.

Update from August 27, 2026

The Church in Venezuela shared a report detailing that a total of $12,000+ has been received from The Wesleyan Church in several places including Colombia, Puerto Rico, the Florida District, Brazil, the United States and from senior pastors in Venezuela, among others. 

 “Please accept our heartfelt thanks for every contribution, prayer and gesture of solidarity.”  

As of last week, these funds have helped: 

  • Provide and distribute 5,314 breakfasts  
  • Carry out 10 service events 
  • Provide hygiene materials 
  • Provide transportation 
  • Supply other necessary purchases for outreach days 

Pastors have also been able to accompany food deliveries to pray with and evangelize to people who have been affected by this disaster.  

 These efforts will be ongoing. A pastor in Venezuela shared, “The restoration of the area will take years, but we trust in God who has sustained us until now.” 

Please continue lifting our Church family in prayer as they press onward in the days ahead. 

Philippines Earthquake Relief — June 2026

The Wesleyan Church, through Global Partners and World Hope International, is responding to a devastating earthquake on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines.

Churches, families, and communities across the affected region are facing significant challenges as they recover from the impact of the disaster. Relief efforts are focused on providing immediate assistance and supporting long-term recovery needs.

Your gift helps bring hope and practical support to those affected while strengthening local churches as they serve their communities during this critical time.

Together, we can remind our brothers and sisters in the Philippines that they are not alone.
