Going Where the Gospel Isn’t

Going Where the Gospel Isn’t

You might remember that last year, we told you about the hope to open new mission fields – to send more people to more places.

With billions of people still lacking access to the Gospel – lacking the opportunity to meet a Christian, learn about Jesus, worship with a body of believers – we feel the urgent need to step out into new places. To go where the Gospel isn’t.

We want to celebrate with you, our faithful supporters, that God has continued opening doors and leading the way to send people to five places where we don’t currently have missionaries. Plus, we’re already exploring additional locations as well.

Praise God! His love, power and goodness overwhelm us. Though these are “new” mission fields for Global Partners, we know with certainty that God has been planting seeds and preparing the ground for years. What a blessing it is for all of us to be a part of it.

These new mission fields stretch across areas that are either almost entirely Muslim, have substantial immigrant and refugee populations, are inundated by secularism or are historically Buddhist. The need for the Good News of Jesus Christ is significant.

Allison* and Eric* are getting ready to go with a team to begin a new work in a Muslim context, and while they know and acknowledge it will be a very difficult journey, they’re also excited.

They’re excited by the opportunity to live alongside Muslim people and develop meaningful relationships with them. To learn language, and to get to model what Christianity looks like. They’re excited by the confidence that they have, knowing what God desires for this place.

Liz and Hamed are getting ready to go to the United Kingdom (U.K.), to serve the persecuted church, reaching immigrants and refugees. They’ll also work alongside The Wesleyan Church U.K. (which has been around for 67 years), helping them do the same.

They both have immigrant backgrounds and prior to launching this new work they were serving the persecuted church in Central Europe. God has given them unique stories, backgrounds and skills, equipping them for this work He’s called them to.

In addition to these missionaries, there’s a group of teachers from all over the world coming together to train pastors in South Asia and a physician from Mexico working to make disciples through medicine and health in Southeast Asia. And it doesn’t stop there!

More locations are being explored, and more people are being called to serve the Lord in a global context. God is calling, He’s moving, and His Church is responding.

But we can’t continue the work without your continued partnership and support.

Will you join us in these efforts to keep fueling the mission forward, beyond what we could ever imagine? Together, we can continue reaching more people in more places with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
